Looking get more out of your photography?

Or perhaps you've just finished our Introduction class and are ready for the next step?

This course delves deeper into the world of digital photography. Take your photos to the next level through classroom lectures, demonstrations, and instructor-led photo shoots.

Topics covered include advanced exposure control, histogram, focus point selection, custom white balance, shooting in RAW, compelling composition techniques, storytelling through composition, dynamic natural lighting and light modifiers. Students will find that this course places more emphasis on creating great photos than an introductory class which focuses more on learning photographic technique.

Students have the opportunity to continue their studies at home with the accompanying course website. The website is packed with slides, links, resources, and practice quizzes that students may view at their own pace to reinforce topics covered during class sessions.

High School Students welcome

Students must previously have taken Introduction to Digital Photography or have equivalent knowledge, such as being comfortable shooting in Manual Mode and understanding equivalent exposures. A digital single lens reflex camera (DSLR) or mirrorless camera with interchangeable lenses and manual settings (such as a Sony Alpha or Panasonic Lumix) is required.

Please bring your fully charged camera, the instruction manual, and a notebook with you to your first class.
